Inspired by his son Caleb and his huge interest in zombies, author Steven Morales weaves a story specifically geared for young readers with his publication, "Color Me Zombied" (published by Xlibris). This book is a refreshing take on zombies as it invites children to enter its world with amazing adventures to inspire.

A freak accident transformed everyone into zombies but also turned the world into a drab landscape of black and white. The adults become accustomed to their colorless existence and the mayor forbids colors. That is until Caleb discovers old paint cans in the garage. In this book, Caleb will try to paint the fun back into the undead lives of his fellow zombies. He dreams of a world with vivid hues and cheerful shades. Will he succeed?

"Zombies are the big thing right now and unfortunately it is mostly directed towards adults so I wanted to make a book that would be geared towards kids," Morales says. With its unique characters that allow readers to follow the story through the zombies' perspective, this book will captivate them as well through its riveting twists and turns.

A fun and entertaining read, "Color Me Zombied" imparts the important lesson of following one's heart and inspiring those around them even when facing adversity and opposition.
