ANTHEM, AZ

Author David Wilson is a man who deserves to be honored for his sacrifice to defend and fulfill his duty as one of the protectors of the nation. In his book, "Consequences of War" (published by Xlibris) Wilson recounts his experiences in combat while serving in the military, recounting conflict after conflict and the dangers he survived.

Wilson is one of those men who bravely fought for the country, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal for his heroism. He recounts his early life that gave him a warrior's soul, unrelenting drive and fearlessness to fight. It follows him as he describes grueling military preparation and combat, narrating mission after mission. This book also includes his experiences in Africa in search of peace after he resigned from the military with the rank of captain. Working as a wildlife scientist, he describes shooting hundreds of animals - including elephants, buffalo and antelope - for population control. It was through unusual experiences in Africa that he found a degree of peace that enabled him to come to grips with the horrors of war.

A compelling and enlightening read, "Consequences of War" uncovers the unrelenting combat and frustration with the inept political management of war, and resulting devastating physical and mental suffering imposed upon the military, and the devastating consequences the non-ending conflicts have on not only the military, but the entire nation as a whole.
