Allen Richey didn't know how to get through losing his beloved Glenda. It wasn't until he sat down to write that he began to come to terms with his loss. The result was his new book, "The Naked Truth: The Road to Heaven Starts at the Cross" (published by iUniverse).

"My hope is to help readers understand, that when one life is over it is not the end, just a new beginning," says Richey. "At the same time, maybe the reader will find comfort, courage and a knowing they will see their loved one again on the other side of the veil."

Richey relates to his readers through the philosophy that God is love. "If you believe your wife or husband is a gift from God to you, I do not see why this is not a reality," says Richey, who wants to bring comfort and strength to others who have felt love as strong as he has. The book includes songs and poems along with a narrative to celebrate the love he and Glenda shared.

"My way of dealing with the recovery process was to write my feelings and emotions down," explains Richey. "This helped me take small steps on that long road."
