An article recently posted by The Sun shares how North Korea received the ire of various international countries after they test fired a missile in the seas of Japan last March 15, 2013. This just goes to show that threats to world safety are still an impending issue in today's generation and that unresolved diplomatic conflicts in the past can continuously plague the people of the present. In line with this, author Adrienne Harrell's new book titled Korea, Her Story offers a literary reminder of the impact left by the Korean War and how it molded the fate of a group of women who struggled to survive for the sake of their families.

Introducing youngsters to an up-close and personal glimpse into the lives of young women left to attend to their families while their husbands were sent to war, this book offers enriching insights about strength, endurance and sacrifice. A coming-of-age tale, this work shares how they have transitioned from young girls to strong, resilient matriarchs who had to stay emotionally and mentally stalwart amidst a time of crisis in Korea. In these pages, readers will learn a great deal how these brave heroines have fought their own wars, in which cries were muffled and pain had to be held within.

The gripping reality of these young lives in turmoil brings out various types of emotions from its readers. Korea, Her Story is a captivating must-read for all those who were victims of a similar type of tragedy as well as those who deserve to know what women are truly capable of.
