About the Author
Jacques van Heerden was born in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1941, He has spent time in four different provinces and ended up in Limpopo, the northernmost province. Most of his life was spent teaching at tertiary level (Zoology and Ecology). He married Elza Malan and the couple will shortly celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary. They have three sons, of whom two are married (one in London, the other in Los Angeles) and four grandchildren. He believes that life was meant to be enjoyed therefore he likes cartoons (Peanuts, Calvin and Hobbes, and Gary Larson among others) and good humour.
