Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will close its 2016-2017 season with a WNY-premiere of The Country House by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies. Mr. Margulies is the company's 2017 American Theatre Master and will make a visit to the Road Less Traveled Theater Saturday May 6 for a public Q&A session moderated by RLTP Literary Director, Jon Elston. The Country House will star Christian Brandjes, Kristen Tripp-Kelley, Chris Kelly, Peter Palmisano, Barbara Link Larou and Renee Landrigan under the direction of Scott Behrend. Production team includes Michael Wachowiak (Stage Management), Dyan Burlingame (set), John Rickus (light), Katie Menke (sound), Maura Simmonds Price (costume/props), and Adam Rath (fight choreography). RLTP Artistic & Executive Director Scott Behrend had the pleasure of working on the 2014 world-premiere of The Country House alongside Mr. Margulies and Director Dan Sullivan to assistant direct at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Synopsis: It's summer in the Berkshires, when actors and aficionados descend upon the Williamstown Theatre Festival for a rejuvenation of the creative mind. For grand dame of the stage Anna Patterson and her clan of artists, it's a family tradition where everybody plays their part. But with memories of loves and losses lingering in the air, the weekend quickly goes off script, and the unexpected drama proves that life can be much more intriguing off-stage than on in the Regional Premiere of Donald Margulies' latest witty, compelling, not-to-be-missed work.
