After a successful 2013 concert at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Brisbane Sings is back and promises to be even bigger and better as more than six local Brisbane choirs unite on the Concert Hall stage on Sunday 10 August.

Experience the power of 500 massed voices singing some of the world's most recognised tunes including: Michael Jackson's Thriller; Soul, Rhythm and Blues hit; Ain't No Mountain High Enough and John Farnham's; You're The Voice.

Conceived by Craig Allister Young of Queensland Symphony Orchestra and David Kidd, a former member of The Ten Tenors, Brisbane Sings is a celebration of singing for Brisbane choristers and offers the rare opportunity to experience a choir of this scale, in a one night only concert.

Presented by QPAC and the Queensland Show Choir Brisbane Sings will offer a musical journey through the worlds of jazz, pop, swing and gospel with singing by some of Brisbane's premier choral organisations including: Queensland Show Choir (Vox Populus, Vivace, Stella Voce), QPAC Choir, Queensland University Musical Society, Queensland Academy of Creative Industries, Mount Alvernia College, Hillbrook Choral and many more.

Craig Allister Young, Musical Director for Brisbane Sings, said he is delighted that Brisbane Sings will once again be held in QPAC's acoustically suburb Concert Hall, following the popular 2013 concert, which was the first time in two decades the show had been presented at the Centre.

"We are very excited as we prepare for Brisbane Sings 2014. The combined choirs are sounding amazing at our rehearsals. Audiences can expect a great night of singing as we featuring a toe tapping program of favourite songs arranged especially for a massed choir," said Mr Young.

Don't miss Brisbane Sings on Sunday 10 August at 6.00pm. To book go to qpac.com.au or phone 136-246.
