Arlington Childrens Theatre (ACT) is thrilled to announce our summer 2019 youth company production of Once on This Island, JR.. The play features talented young performers from the greater Arlington area between the ages of 7-12 and is directed by Emily Grove. Ingrid Oslund serves as Choreographer, Sarah Broomell serves as Music Director and Joel Ruben-Meyer serves as Associate Director and Stage Manager.Public Performances of Once on This Island, JR. take place July 25th and 27th. All performances take place at Lexington Christian Academy, 48 Bartlett Ave, Lexington, MA 02420.Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door or at actisland.brownpapertickets.comWith its poignant story and catchy Caribbean-flavored score, Once on This Island, JR. is a highly original theatrical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersens popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, and the Tony- nominated Broadway musical by the legendary writing team, Ahrens and Flaherty (Ragtime, Seussical, A Man of No Importance). Through almost non-stop song and dance, this full-hearted musical tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island.
