The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will hold auditions for Bye Bye Bieber, an original musical spoof, on Saturday, September 17th starting at 1:00 p.m. at FSPA, 38 Main Street, Franklin.
Written and directed by FSPA Drama Instructor Nick Paone and FSPA Director Raye Lynn Mercer, Bye Bye Bieber will be presented on October 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, Horace Mann Middle School. This show, a parody loosely based on the Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie, features a variety of pop music and a storyline centered on teen sensation ‘Jason Bieber.'

Auditions are open to students ages 8 and up who are enrolled in a class at FSPA. The auditions will be held at 1:00 p.m. for ages 8-10, at 1:45 p.m. for ages 11-13 and at 2:30 p.m. for students ages 14-18. Students should prepare 16 measures of a pop song to sing at the audition.

Founded in 1985, FSPA brings all performing arts disciplines together under one roof, offering Music, Dance and Drama training to both students interested in serious study and those who enjoy the arts for recreation. Beginners are welcome in all programs. The fall semester begins September 12, with an Open House celebrating The School's 27th season on Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
