Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) has announced that it is the recipient of a $2,500 grant from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation. This grant is made to underwrite tickets for families and children to BTG's 2017 Holiday Production.

BTG's Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire says, "We are deeply thankful for the grant from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation. With this support, we may share our joyous 2017 Holiday Production with children and families who otherwise might not be able to participate."

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which, through its integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands.

Started in 1982 by the company's founder Jack Taylor, the Foundation was established to allow the company to give back to the communities where its customers and employees live and work. Since then, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation has contributed more than $266 million to thousands of local nonprofits focused on community improvement, education and environmental stewardship.

The Colonial Theatre, founded in 1903, and Berkshire Theatre Festival, founded in 1928, are two of the oldest cultural organizations in the Berkshires. In 2010, under the leadership of Artistic Director and CEO Kate Maguire, the two organization merged to form Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG). Berkshire Theatre Group's mission is to support wide ranging artistic exploration and acclaimed performances in theatre, dance, music and entertainment. Every year, BTG produces and presents performances to over 68,000 attendees and, through our Educational Program, serves over 13,000 Berkshire County schoolchildren annually. BTG's celebrated stages reflect the history of the American theatre; they represent a priceless cultural resource for the community.
