One of public television's top superstars, the wildly entertaining male pop vocal group Celtic Thunder comes to the Morrison Center at Boise State University for a concert on November 1. The group pays homage to the musical culture of Ireland with selections from their new PBS special, Heritage.
Featuring traditional standards such as "Whiskey in the Jar," "Black is the Color," "Skye Boat Song" and "Red, Red Rose," as well as love songs like "The Dutchman," "Noreen" and "Just a Song at Twilight," the show is a celebration of Celtic Music and the Celts Heritage, a joy for all the family, performed with Celtic Thunder magic.

Since the airing of their first PBS special in 2008, Celtic Thunder has performed hundreds of concerts, sold almost one million CD's and DVD's, and received more than 15 million upload views of their official YouTube channel, "Thunder Tube."

The group had the honor of performing for President Obama at The White House's St. Patrick's Day celebration in 2009, and they also opened New York City's famed St. Patrick's Day Parade on 5th Avenue two consecutive years in a row (2008 & 2009). They have also performed on the Today Show, CBS Early Show's Saturday Second Cup Café, and numerous regional TV shows in major cities across America.

Of their live performance, the Virginian-Pilot raved, "no matter what they tackle they do it with ‘beaucoup' energy" and The New York Times described the group as "a Fab Five peddling Celtic stylings."

Tickets to their Boise show are priced at $52.50 and $67.50, and may be purchased at the Morrison Center Box Office, online at www.idahotickets.com or by calling 208-426-1110.
