I actually worked backstage on a good show with the unfortunate title "Heaven and the Homeboy". It was directed and choreographed by George Faison (choreographer of the original Wiz). It was actually quite a good show about angels who come down to help an inner city teen find a good path to live on. Even Oprah and Bill Cosby gave some money to our production, but it never went further than us. Too bad.

Phantom (Maury Yeston version)-- I saw it in summer stock and it's a really nice score. Of course, I know why it never would open in NYC, but it's a shame.

With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-

"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-

Romance in Hard Times. It was announced to go to the Music Box Theatre after a run at the Public Theatre, but it never happened. The show was nuts, but it did feature some very distinctive Bill Finn songs that I'd love to hear again.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I also say Children of Eden. Amazing music. But isn't that supposed to be getting a Broadway slot sometime soon?

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I was looking at a musical on Theatrical Rights Worldwide's website called "Nevermore", based on Poe's poems, and it seems very interesting, but never made it past the regional stage.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
