Chazz Palminteri will return to Broadway this fall in a limited engagement of A Bronx Tale, the one-man show he performed in Los Angeles and Off-Broadway in the late eighties that inspired the 1993 film of the same name.

Variety reports that Go Productions and Jujamcyn Theaters will produce the New York run, which is scheduled to begin Oct. 4 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The 18-week engagement will officially open Oct. 25; Jerry Zaks directs.

In the solo show, which is a "semi-autobiographical tale about growing up in the Bronx," the actor plays 18 roles.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Ooh, my parents loved the movie. This may be just what I need to convince them to take another vacation to New York!

I'm happy to hear this...I like that movie a lot, but have a hard time separating it from what happened with the actor who played Calogero! It will be good to put a new spin on the story.

Best Play?
Best Revival of a Play?
Best Theatrical Event?

PLEASE! Do not post anything negative or dramatic! DidYouReallyHearMe has LOST the ability to ignore such posts and he will comment! Please, help him.

My guess is it will be Theatrical Event.

It isn't a NEW play so it won't be Best Play. They usually give one man shows Best Theatrical Event (Jay Johnson, Billy Crystal, Sarah Jones etc.).

So glad something is going into the Kerr before A CATERED AFFAIR gets in. That's a gorgeous space and should be used often.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

What happened to A Catered Affair? I hope it's still opening this season but I guess a rumor is only a rumor...

A Catered Affair will be opening in the spring after A Bronx Tale

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
