SPRING AWAKENING composer Duncan Sheik will perform in concert in New York City May 15. His song list will include some of his musical theatre work.
Metropolitan Talent presents the one-night gig, which will play the Concert Hall at the New York Society for Ethical Culture (located at 2 West 64th Street at Central Park West) at 8 PM. Doors open at 7 PM. Tickets ($35) are available through ticketmaster.
According to the artist's website, "Upcoming shows will include songs from Duncan's prior records in addition to selections from his theatrical work including SPRING AWAKENING, NERO and THE NIGHTINGALE. ____________________________________________________

He sang "Mama Who Bore Me" on TheaterTalk last night on PBS. I think it repeats on Public TV. It was great to hear a different version of something I know so well.
