Yes there is plenty of news depending on who you ask:) It is a non-equity tour that he been redesigned with disney's permission. Similar to what Miss Saigon did when it went on a non-equity tour. but i can assure that the music has not been changed. the cast is super talented and full of fresh faces, and some familiar ones. I am very proud to be an orchestra member for this tour. I have dates and things but Im not sure what I am at liberty to give out at this time. the tour opens in september so I'm sure there will be a more complete itenerary and info then. You can also check ticketmaster.com for certain dates that have been posted. I know I speak for everyone when i say that we are extremely excited about this tour!
wow, thanks so much for the info... sounds like it will be WONDERFUL!!! have you seen the set or costumes, what to you think, or can you describe it at all. Is there a website for the tour yet
Haven't seen sets or costumes. rehearsels begin in a couple of weeks. I have heard some of the singers and I am so excited to get to work with these people. It will be a first class tour. People can say what they want about non equity tours but non equity doesn't mean not talented. The people in equity weren't always members and did great work beforehand as well. this show will be top notch and will do every bit of justice to the score and script as the broadway version. :)
I hope it comes to Atlanta. I've been wanting to see it for a while.

I know Dan Rosenbaum, who's a former Roger on the Rent tour (the cast with Andy Meeks as Mark), is the understudy Radames... but I don't know about the rest of the cast.
The tour comes here Novemeber 17-19th and I can't wait
