I am a member of a theater web site and just look at the email I received. And some of you don't believe there are fake fans around here? This is disgusting.

Hi: I saw your name and email on a Yahoo theater fan site and wanted to let you know that BKLYN needs your help!
If you don't know, BKLYN is the hottest, hippest new show to hit Broadway in the last 20 years. When it opens, it will revolutionize musical theater. You, as a theater fan, want to help American musical theater? Don't you?
We are one of the marketing sources for this great new show and we need you to help get the word out to everyone that BKLYN is the ONLY show to see. How can you help?
Get on internet message boards and write continuously about this unbelievable new show. That gets people to start talking and that makes BKLYN a huge hit. And it's all BECAUSE OF YOU!
You can write theads like: "I can't wait for BKLYN" "Have you heard about BKLYN? Tell me more!" "Do you know how to get tickets to BKLYN?"
It doesn't matter if you've seen the show or if you know much about it. Because you love theater, we know you want to make this show BIG! We're counting on YOU to let everyone know that a new era in Broadway is happening. As a marketing source, we can only do so much. But with the help of you and hundreds of other BKLYN friends, we can make Broadway magic happen!
Get out and write! Fill up those message boards! There's no day like today to get the word out. BKLYN depends on you.
Many thanks for your help!

We must go and post this second, it is the only way that the show will succeed, just like Rent and Hairspray and Wicked did!
"Someone please tell me- when the hell did gravity become the enemy? How has an essential force of nature, something that makes it possible for life to even exist on this planet, come to deserve the scorn and hatred of every teenage girl with no head voice?"- Broadway Matt
We should get all the WiCkEd kids to go to the Crooklyn site and post non stop!
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Lol I edited my post but for those who are wondering I said that I was semi-excited about the show but now I dislike it.

Dolly, I don't know if the people in this thread are the people that are obsessed with the show. But I wonder why people are obsessed with it. (Also, I love the icon! )

Reading the first few lines, I thought the email was hilarious, but then it just got downright disturbing. And doesn't it sound like it's written to influence 12 year-olds? Yeesh.
'You can write theads like: "I can't wait for BKLYN" "Have you heard about BKLYN? Tell me more!" "Do you know how to get tickets to BKLYN?"'
I know I've seen some of THOSE before.
"There's no day like today to get the word out."
Hahaha, I love how they paraphrase Rent to advertise Brooklyn.
But I don't buy this email as really coming from Brooklyn's marketing dept. It's just too pushy ("You, as a theater fan, want to help American musical theater? Don't you?"). Wonder what loon wrote it, though.

BlueWizard, everything that you said was what I was thinking as I read the email but then I got sidetracked with Dolly's comment, which I misunderstood, and I'm sorry about that.

I can admit that I am a semi shill. Let me go back and edit adding that I am family to parties involved. That is all I will say until at least wednesday or thursday of this week.
