Here's the cast, per Telecharge (which is info provided by the producer) --

Eric Anderson, Sara Chase, Jeremy Jordan, Eva Noblezada, Samantha Pauly, Noah Ricketts, Paul Whitty, John Zdrojeski, Lauryn Adams, Raymond Baynard, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Austin Colby, Colin Cunliffe, Natalie Charle Ellis, Curtis Holland, Briana Kim, Dariana Mullen, Pascal Pastrana, Mariah Rieves, Julio Rey, Dan Rosales, Maya Sistruck, Jake Trammel, Jake Urban, Tanairi Vazquez, Katie Webber

At quick glance, it seems like Stanley Wayne Mathis is out and Eric Anderson is new.

I’ll say it.

Flop.

The most upsetting thing about this is that this POS will leave a sour taste in audiences mouths for a Gatsby musical, and the Florence Welsh / Rachel Chavkin version will probably suffer because of it.

The general public won’t know the difference and Florence fans will know enough to distinguish which one hers is.

That's the inherent problem.

Whether this show lasts a month or a year, it will impact the Chavkin GATSBY. The general public may say "I already saw that one" or "I heard it's bad" if confused about the other one. There could be a view of oversaturation of the title, and it may create marketing challenges (even if it looks & sounds completely different in the production quality/advertising).

If I were producing the Chavkin Gatsby, I wouldn't want to open within a year of the other one's closing.

The Florence Fans cannot be relied upon to sustain a show, and aside from the pedigree of the creative team we don't know anything about the show itself yet.

Eventually, there will be some castmember who appeared in both productions. I look forward to that Playbill interview.

That's a tight window for nominations. Mother Play is opening the same day (the Tony nom deadline), FYI

I'm embarrassed to ask what POS means

Your profile picture compels me to agree but I don't actually think it'll flop oddly

Big mistake. Major, major mistake. This is a substandard adaptation of something no one was asking to see on stage.

I checked the show’s official website, and there is no indication of Jeremy or Eva’s performance schedule—do you folks think that they will perform Wednesday and Saturday matinees during previews in April?

Or if this gatsby ends up being a hit, the other one might as well not even show up on broadway for years and years.  I mean Moulin Rouge is awful and it’s a hit. The Great Gatsby is actually good though…

Baz should seriously consider suing for stealing his visual concept. Given that the projections were clearly AI-generated, it's not unbelievable that they pulled directly from his film.

Ironically, I am more likely to see this because I am planning to get tickets for the Cambridge engagement of the 'other Gatsby'.  Since I would be in the position to see them weeks apart, how often to you have the opportunity to compare two different versions of the same property.  The only other time I can think where this happened is decades ago, when the Papermill presented the Yeston 'Phantom', which in that case was totally forgettable.  In that case, it only took me 20 minutes to get to the Papermill from my then home in New Jersey.

In this article (according to Google Translate), producer Chunsoo Shin says "As the original lead producer of this work, I hope to grow it into a production loved by audiences around the world, not only in Korea but also in London, Australia, and Asia, using Broadway as a stepping stone." This might not actually happen, of course.

Additionally, this should be taken with a big grain of salt given that I'm just reading Google's translation of his original comments in Korean, but he appears to also say "I want to create a work that [...] makes [audiences] think about the spirit of idealism that we must not lose." I'm no Great Gatsby purist; in fact I'm not even a fan of the original novel. But this approach does sound rather at odds with the source material.

We must be losing something in translation.  For example:

"Focusing on the character of the millionaire 'Jay Gatsby', he attracted attention by expressing his great love with his beloved 'Daisy Buchanan' through universal emotions that penetrate generations, delicate characters, and unique uniqueness."

But, as this article is aimed at a Korean readership I am not surprised about the comment regarding the "spirit of idealism." That's just the local flavor of hogwash being thrown out by a producer.

Nick Carraway is the idealist in the show. The rich do a lot of damage, and the poor die.  Maybe he’s saying this will act as a cautionary tale, and teach us to be idealists.

UPDATE: I called Telecharge this morning, and they have no information.  I’m assuming that unless otherwise stated, Jeremy and Eva will be on for the matinees—I just picked up a ticket for the Wednesday, April 17th matinee.  Eva was out when I saw Miss Saigon, and it’s been my dream to see her live.  I’ve been a fan of Jeremy’s for a long time.  Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Eva's track record for missing shows at both SAIGON and HADESTOWN was terrible (far worse than Lindsay Mendez is being castigated for).  I don't know if she has the stamina for an 8-performance week on any show.

Thanks JSquared2.

My logic is that during previews, they will be scheduled to perform every show, as they improve upon the show, and then after opening, an alternate may be scheduled for specific performances?   But, I’m basing this on nothing. LOL   If someone has intel, on this topic, I’d be curious.

Who were the covers at Papermill for Eva and Jeremy?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's sound logic. If either of them has a standby who will end up covering regularly, I wouldn't expect to see them before opening. If it was an alternate, which it isn't, that could be a different story.

Thanks Taffy.  :)  Are you saying that to your knowledge, they don’t have alternates that perform particular shows?

I have to disagree here. I’ve seen Hadestown 16 times all prior to Eva leaving. Of those 16, I’ve seen 3 understudies. Perhaps I’ve lucked out but Eva was in the majority of shows for Hadestown, outside of illness or previously scheduled events. She isn’t one to call out just because.
