Annoying Feature of These Boards

I've discovered an odd quirk involving page numbers in topics.  Curious to know if anyone else experiences this.

For example, I'll click on a topic related to FUNNY GIRL and I'll see that the page range is 1 to 53.  I'll click on 53 to see the latest posts, but will be taken back to the main chat page because there is no page 53.  I'll then have to click on the topic again, pick another page, go up to the URL and manually enter page 52 in order to see the most recent posts.

Not exactly user-friendly, but I'm wondering if it's due to my browser and computer (Safari on a MacBook Air) or an issue with the forum itself.

I've had the same experience myself on several occasions: I click to move to the next (last) page and end up back on the main chat page.

Click "reply to message" on any post: below the reply box you will see all the previous posts in reverse chronological order. Then you can read the most recent post(s).

I reported this eons ago. I am also on a Mac and using Safari.

I've had that happen to me as well. Apparently, the way the website was designed, when a page is "full" and has received the max number of entries, the website automatically creates and lists the next page instead of waiting for the first actual post to be written that would require it. It's annoying but not even in my top 5 technical and design issues I have with the site.

Checking your messages is still two taps deep with no notification on the main page for mobile. Not that the desktop is any better with its TEENY TINY envelope up in the corner that gets a TEENY TINY red dot when you have a message...

But nah, you know where the real priorities are? Making the message board even more cluttered with uncessary subboards because they couldn't just implement a tagging system without something ludicrous to go on top of it in some sick monkey's paw ****.

You know what's also fun? Besides all those subboards for shows that havent been posted in a year plus it says there should be posts in them, but then you actually click on them... there's no posts in them. Anybody interested in a board about Thoroughly Modern Millie? You know... the show that hasn't been on Broadway or London in almost 20 years and has very little (if any) major movement in that time that would warrant being up to date on the goings on of a show that has only been performed regionally for over a decade?

I just tried to search for a thread on three different devices. Found it on all three but it just took me back to the main page of thread topics on all three devices.

Semi related, but when I search for a certain post or a thread and you click on it, it brings me back to the main chat board. If I want to reply to whatever post or thread I searched, I have to manually find it through the gazillion pages the site has. Super annoying.

Hey mods! I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for actually fixing the block button after many, many years. The harassment, stalking, trolls, and threats of the four horrible monsters I've blocked are all gone. Even if I scroll up. Even if they respond to something right before me. It's all gone. They don't exist. They can keep screaming with no one listening now. What a breath of fresh air.

That is horrible, sorry you had to endure this type of treatment. Glad your problem has been solved. Let's hope they don't bother other posters.
