Just returned from a quick trip to NYC. Due to other commitments, I was only able to see 4 shows.

Wednesday, May 24
Rushed Miss Saigon. This board taught me about rushing, and this was my very first (successful) rush experience! Got in line around 9:30, there was a decent line in front of me. I snagged a rush ticket for $39 to the matinee. I was seated in seated in F11. What did I miss seeing? About half of Kim's bedroom, so not too much. I was glad to start my trip off with a big band, high value production.
When I exited the theater and was walking back to the hotel, I walked by the stage door and noticed the actor who played John was signing. The crowd around the barricades was not large at all. So I decided to jump in. This was my first stage door experience as well, and to be honest, probably my last. Everyone who came out and signed were sweet as can be and all took photos with those who wanted, I just found it to a somewhat awkward experience all around.

Thursday, May 25
The day before I had been browsing my offers on Show Score, and I snagged myself a $5 ticket to Can You Forgive Her for the evening on Thursday. I was seated in the front row, in the center. To my surprise, this was actually one of my favorite shows. I loved all of Amber Tamblyn's facial expressions, and I found it easy to relate to her character (hello student loans!).

Friday, May 25
Tried and failed the TodayTix rush for Little Foxes, so I walked over to the Golden and asked for a rush ticket to A Doll's House Part 2. I walked in around 10:40 and was told they only had one single rush ticket left. I only needed a ticket for myself so I snagged it at $30. That evening I was seated in N12, all the way on the right, against the wall, but it was fine for this production. This is my other favorite show of the trip. Laurie Metcalf was on fire and the audience was eating it up.

Saturday, May 27
Decided to try the TodayTix rush again, this time I went for the Sweat matinee, and scored a ticket for $39.50 (including the TodayTix fee). Was seated in the last row, in seat P111. In the beginning, there was some auditory issues and I could barely hear anything. For me, the show was okay. I just didn't get as absorbed in the story and I'm still trying to figure out why.

I rushed my first show(s), had my first stage door experience, and only had to spend $113.50 on tickets! Like I said, this board is what taught me about rushing, so thank you to all!

I saw the same performance of "Sweat" as you and just loved it.  Different strokes, I guess.  I was seated much closer to the stage, in a 5th-row aisle seat thanks to TDF.  I did briefly hear what sounded like a malfunctioning hearing device ringing in the back of the orchestra, which might have been the auditory issue that affected you.

I'm glad you had such a successful trip!
