Help Raise Money for a Children's Summer Camp!

Hey Everyone! 

I wanted  to tell you a bit about the children's summer theatre camp I am directing this summer up in northern Maine, where I'm from. There is very little theatre up here, and for the age group I'm working with (ages 5-12) there is no theatre for them to do. But there are still a ton of kiddos up here who don't connect to sports and are discovering who they are through theatre. I have one girl who keeps telling me "she's born for the stage", one boy found his niche in life in the first musical I directed him in. These kids need theatre as much as I do. As much as you need it.

By 2018 it is my goal for Broadway Kids in The County Theatre Company to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre with a full season of musicals, revues and 3-day intensives taught by Broadway actors.

But for this summer, I want to start small with a 5 week summer camp as we do Beat by Beat Presses latest title Giants in the Sky to keep the momentum going from April when I directed 20 kids in Beat by Beat Presses We Are Monsters. I did that musical as an after school arts program at an arts center, but I am doing the summer camp on my own, so I have to raise some money.

And that's where you guys come in! I created these super cute "theatre nerd" t-shirts on Booster.com, that will be printed by CustomInk (they are really high quality!) These shirts are only $20 a piece and come youth xxs to adult xxl and are available in six different colors. They will make excellent gifts for that theatre nerd in your life, or they are a great item to splurge on yourself! They would be adorable for your budding theatre nerds to wear as well! 

Right now I've only sold 5 shirts. I have to sell at least 4 more for them to go to printing. Once I sell 9, I will break even and will be making a profit off of each one that I sell. If I can sell 50, we will raise $503 which will be enough to make the kiddos summer really special! We need $299 for the rights (it includes the scripts and accompaniment CD and logo pack, and video license, and all that good stuff - amazing deal!) and we need $75 for the rent for our space we are renting in the mall. The rest of the money will go to the set, costume and props.

If you don't have $20 to buy a shirt, but you still want to help out, you also have the option to donate money. Even if you only donate $1 or $5, every little bit helps!

Let's see if we can buy these last 4 t-shirts today so these shirts will get printed and we can start making a profit!
