If you don't know TDF is a paid membership service where you get tickets for a show at a very cheap price but you don't know where you will be sitting. I've used them for Comet and Hedwig and the angry inch revival. Hedwig was last row mezzanine but the way the theatre was designed you can see over he row infront of you so it was perfect. Comet I got 3rd row back mezzanine which was very good for the theatre. For anyone who has used it what's your success with it?
A lot of people on this board use TDF. I've been a member for more than 15 years and have seen hundreds of shows using the service. My seats have ranged everywhere from the first row of the orchestra to the last row of the mezzanine. The last three shows I saw through TDF were If I Forget (Row E of the orchestra, extreme side), The Glass Menagerie (Row B of the mezzanine, one seat off the center aisle), and The Present (Row A of the rear mezzanine, also one seat off the center aisle).
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

I don't believe you.

Thud.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Attended GREAT COMET today via TDF and was expecting and hoping for a mezz panoramic view after reading other TDF members' locations for that show. Instead I ended up at a table and was concerned that it might be partial view -- although the ticket was not thusly stamped. While I did have to turn my head to the side now and then, it was actually a great, nearly down front view and well worth the ticket price. I'd seen the show downtown at the Kazino tent but wanted to see what this incarnation had to offer. Glad I did. Enjoyable as it was a couple of years ago it's even better now--more electric, superbly staged and sung. I was not particularly concerned with seeing Josh Groban but my gosh, what a superlative voice he has. I know someone from the original HAMILTON cast will replace him in July, but I think Danny Burstein would make a wonderful Pierre as well.
