"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
Oh, I would love to see the Belasco apartment. That would be so cool. I wonder why they aren't doing anything with it; is it out of respect or structurally unsafe? Could you imagine spending a night there when the theatre is empty.... mwahahaha...
Amazing to see footage in the Belasco Apartment, I had read that it was entirely taken up by the HVAC system. Maybe that was before the rennovations. Would love to have seen it in its full glory.

I'd like to know as well. It seems like, if it were restored to its former glory, it would make a terrific out-of-the-way VIP reception space.

Yes, the HVAC system still takes up too much of the space in the Belasco Apartment to do anything functional with the remaining space up there.
There are many people on the Shubert staff who have access to the space, and many people who have worked in the Belasco have been able to get into there pretty easily as well.
