I will be visiting NYC and am considering Spamilton. However, I'm wondering about the General Admission tickets. Are the sight lines okay for this show? I read a review of the venue that said that people "stand" at this venue, that you don't necessarily sit (was I reading this right?). Maybe this venue has more than one space and the review was talking about another space. Thanks. If there has been another thread on this, I apologize.
I saw Spamilton a few weeks ago, at a Sunday matinee. The place was packed.
The general admission seats are fine as long as you can get there early. Get there at least 45 minutes before the show starts, and promptly go up to the second floor to check in.
(I didn't see anyone standing during the show.)
If you still find yourself at a table in the rear, ask the usher politely if you can possibly be moved up closer. Best of luck! It's a great show!!!
Nobody was standing when I saw it either. Definitely agree about getting there early if you are going with others and want to be seated together. I saw people get split up who showed up close to start. I ended up in 1 of the corner tables in the back. Wasn't bad at all. Though it was slightly elevated in comparison to closer. That might be why.

I won spamilton lottery and our designated seats were literally the last row of the mezzanine. Still not bad as we can still see their facial expressions. Personally I think the best seats are in the main orchestra area perhaps 2nd row of tables or in the mezzanine front row. It's a very intimate show and the theater is small so any seat is pretty good.
Those are very good seats, but that is the premium section. If you're way in the back, you can ask the usher to move you up there if there's room. You might get lucky.
