I was wondering if anyone could give me any seating advice for The National Theatre in DC. Fun Home tickets just went on sale and I'd like to buy some really good seats to go at least once. I haven't actually been to this particular theatre since I was in middle school, so an extremely long time ago. How is front row orchestra vs front mezz vs front balcony? Price wise front row mezz and orchestra are the same but I have no idea how the view is from either area and front row balcony is cheaper but for an intimate show like Fun Home may just be too far away.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd stay away from the balcony.  I like the mezzanine in that theater, as the front row is fairly close to the stage (view wise).

I saw If/Then there from the mezzanine, and it was fine. But really, for Fun Home, I'd want to be up close and really take it in...
