Newton Faulkner American idiot

I have just been to see the UK touring version of the Green Day rock musical American Idiot at the Northcotte theatre in Exeter. The lead role of Johnny has just been taken over by folk rock singer Newtown Faulkner. In his first ever theatre role. I saw the show last summer when it was in the West End and Aaron Sidwell was playing Johnny and I saw the UK tour in Portsmouth a few weeks ago when Matt Thorp was playing Johnny. and Matt and Aaron were both great in the show. So Newton Faulkner had a lot to live up to. For his first role in the theatre Newton was great.  If like me you are not a big fan of Green Day or Newton Faulkner's songs but like rock musicals go catch American Idiot on tour or on its return trip back to the West End from July  until September.

I'm going next week. Have seen Faulkner a good few times at his own gigs and American Idiot is one of my favourite albums of all time so I'm looking forward to it!
