These theaters never have a long standing show, and they rarely get good grosses. Let's face it. The latest shows in the Brooks Atkinson are It Shoulda Been You and Love Letters. Spring Awakening is in it now. The Neil Simon has hosted Gigi, The Last Ship, and Big Fish. What do you think??
Of all theatres I'd say the lyric is by far the most cursed. It hasn't had a show recoup yet.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Yes, after coming offstage from Il Trovatore at the Metropolitan Opera, Azucena visits the theatre district and curses Broadway theatres. She does so to avenge the Broadway career of Irra Petina. "Sei vendicata, o madre!" she exclaims, as she crumples to a heap in front of the Copacabana.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
There is no such thing as a cursed theater. Shows flop more often then succeed, pure and simple.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

No, silly, the cursed buildings actually repel ticket buyers from making their purchase. It's so cursed it even effects online sales.

I think the curse is that the bad theaters lure the bad shows to be booked there.
The only theater that currently is cursed is the Mark Hellenger. Legs Diamond was the final finger ****on the spindle that has caused the theater to lie trapped in its present state.
The Martin Beck may at one time have been cursed, but the name change lifted the curse and has allowed for hits to come back to the theater.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
All recouped as it was star driven and a limited engagement
The shows you allude to were not necessarily bad but just did not catch on.We saw many of them. You probably disagree and you are entitled to your opinion. It's location does not help .I still feel it is cursed and maybe after 3 or 4 more flops people may change their mind. Listing 1 show to bolster your argument is not necessarily a strong point.
Neither is blaming a physical entity for why a show fails. You're right, not all shows that DO failed are bad shows, but if people don't want to see them, which building they are in doesn't sway that by any means. No one decides to see a show based on which theater its in.
Have you really ever heard someone say, "Gee, let's go see whatever's playing at the Eugene O'Neill?" Nope, they go to see the SHOW that happens to be playing at the Eugene O'Neill.

You guys are starting to scare me. I,perhaps, can ignore a casual use of the word "cursed" but I'm inferring a more literal use and actual belief in a curse.
This is not 1350. Science has taught us that each event has a cause. Come on guys. Please tell me you don't believe in curses.
