I really hope that this absolutely FABULOUS NEW Chichester Festival Theatre production starring the totally AMAZING Michael Ball as the best ever MACK with the amazing new talented Rebecca LaChance as Mabel & the most brilliant cast which is currently on a UK TOUR till December 6th does transfer to the West End in 2016 as it has received standing ovations everywhere & was the most successful show CFT & had the most advanced ticket sales there too! With the rave reviews up & down the country but, STILL NO NEWS if it will transfer or not! It MUST do or it will be London's loss......PLEASE don't let it the powers that be!!!!

A MB fan.

Can't quite decide if jmclark is a real MB fan, or a wind up!!! It certainly has all the hallmarks of a rabied Ballette!!!

I suspect the producers of "Gypsy" would argue the point about M&M being THE most successful transfer from Chichester.

I saw the show last night in Manchester, and for what it's worth, I thought it a very good revival. Very well staged, great orchestra, good dancing and yes, MB is a very good Mack Sennett. Wave after wave of great Jerry Herman songs seal the deal.

And yes, the cast got a standing ovation last night, but it had the look of the north of England branch of the MB fan club about it!!!

I'd love to know who "the powers that be" really are. In this context, I envision a panel of lovies sitting in an office above the Palace Theatre who decide what can and can't come into the west end!!

Four coachloads of them outside the theatre, by my count, Hulmeman.

It was interesting that they managed to give him a standing ovation without the assistance they needed to get up the steps back onto those coaches.

I was there last night too!

That made me laugh Scripps!!! Be careful though, the Ballettes will put a fatwa on you and come round your house and picket!!!!

Shame we didn't know about the same theatre/same time, we could have arranged to meet up over a glass of Sonatogen!!! I even had spare tix, because my friends were stuck on a closed motorway! Managed to sell them though - hey, that wasn't you who bought off me was it?
