Last night the shows of the new fall season began. What did everyone think of Minority Report? Blindspot? Life in Pieces? I know there is already a thread about the last one but one overarching thread seemed easier.
Just finished Blindspot and it seems like The Blacklist but with tattoos instead of Red.

Yes, let us use this thread to discuss the new season. As I said previously Life In Pieces, was horribly written and directed. I can't believe all of those familiar actors agreed to do it.
The Dancing With The Stars casting is pretty bad and having Len Goodman gone is some what of a shame.
I could only watch about 20 minutes of Minority Report. Sands is cute but it gave me a headache and it did not hold my attention.
I am not through Limitless but I thus far I think it has promise. I will be interested to learn more how they are going to sustain it at a series. The lead is appealing and it is nice to see Blair Brown, Ron Rifkin and the girl from Dexter. I also liked that it is filmed in NYC.
Here are some of my initial thoughts on what I've watched so far.
- Life in Pieces was atrocious and I'll never watch another second.
- Minority Report is basically a mash-up of Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow. There is a non-human partner that says awkward things and the black female partner who has some unknown connection.
- The Muppets was alright. I'll obviously stick with the show for the foreseeable future because it's the Muppets.
- Scream Queens was amazing and I don't have any problem admitting that. I know a lot of people are up in arms about the humor but I loved all of it. And this was Lea Michele at her best.
- Limitless is still on my DVR.
- Gotham seems to be becoming the over the top cartoon that it should have been from the beginning. How they took the most hated character (Barbara) and turned her into someone enjoyable to watch is beyond me.

Limitless I thought deserved a B. I think my continued interest will depend upon the writing. I thought it was well cast and the casting of his parents brought a sincerity to the work. So I am going to give it a shot at least for now.
Phyllis I agree 100% about the new Muppet Show. I could not make it all the way through. Gone is the charm, whimsy and magic. It is now a really bad Office knock off.

I enjoyed The Muppets but it still needs to find it's balance, I have faith.
Life in Pieces wasn't horrible it just wasn't good. Blindspot was dull as hell, Scream Queens was a blast, Lucifer was fun but I'm sure it will turn in to a dull cop show (so will do great)
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
songanddanceman2, they should revert to a Variety Program where there are musical numbers and a group of crazies backstage. Forget this reality TV format crap. Celebrate pure nonsense in a smart way like the original did.

So far the only two new shows i have watch (well I am halfway through the episode of one) have been The Muppets and I am halfway through the first episode of Blindspot. I am on the fence about how I feel abut The Muppets, I like some of the jokes, others fell flat. I loved the first movie but felt so so about The Muppets Most Wanted. So, I will give it a few episodes before I form a full opinion.
As for Blindspot, even though I have not finished the entire first episode, I am kinda liking it. I agree with what some of the critics and viewer reviews are saying. Many of the comments around it have been that it's a show that leaves you on the fence about whether or not it's great or not and feels like one of those shows that would take a few episodes to fully form that opinion. But, so far overall, I like it.
People at work were going on about how funny Life in Pieces was and I was like you have got to be kidding. Scream Queens gets a C plus. Promising idea but wooden and uneven. Some cute guys however and Emma Roberts is one note.
The Player gets a C. Handsome lead but could not stay with it.
Rosewood gets a B. It was cute. I don't think I will follow it every week but the lead is charming and the art direction was hot, almost distractingly so, and the same can be said for the costumes and perfect prop placement.
Quantico lived up to the hype. I am hooked. My favorite thus far. Blood and Oil was a little thin. I kind of expected a little more given the time slot. I don't think Morris Chestnut is a terrible actor; he is just limited. And actually some of the supporting cast is decent. It is not anything I am going to continue watching but I made it through the episode.
I am actually glad that so many were duds. Less shows to get addicted to. I thought Grinder and Grandfathered were cute. Blood and Oil seems to be getting weaker by the episode.
