Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere of people for whom the marquee lights have been dimmed, at least in recent years?

Interesting article about the tradition. The first was Gertrude Lawrence in 1952. 2nd was Oscar Hammerstein II in 1960. The third was in 1977 for Alfred Lunt. It appears that the criteria was much greater in the past.

Thanks. I have been looking through the Broadway League press releases but I noticed they are missing Joan Rivers and George Steinbrenner.
