It's probably extending, they just haven't decided where they're going yet, or they just haven't released tickets. You can't buy Broadway tickets years in advance cause they haven't announced an extension but that doesn't they're closing. For example, you can only buy Wicked tickets until Feb. 2016, Lion King until March 2016, and Hamilton till June 2016. None of those shows are closing anytime soon.
Theatres still have to decide on their 2016-2017 seasons still. It's very early. We're only in the summer of the 2015-2016 season. They are probably in negotiations with a bunch of companies or still scouting theatres.

For what it's worth, they don't have the 2016 Chicago engagement (June 28 - August 14) on their website yet either. But it does look (and sound) like they are going down to one tour.
