Interesting to hear his original, stripped-down takes on the songs. His Dylan influence is very strong in his interpretation of the music- even today, he prefers to do folky acoustic covers of his own songs.
Two cool tidbits from the recording: instead of "in the back row," Science Fiction Double Feature used to end with a knowing "Sal Mineo..." And apparently, the non-ending of Once in a While seems to be because Ritz didn't know how to end it himself. The song tapers off on the recording at the point where stage versions often come up with their own unique ending.
