Looking for tickets for Something Rotten and I am torn between 2 choices. In the Orchestra, Row E Seat 1 or Row A center Mezz seat 109. I am worried about the railing obstructing my view in the Mezz. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Front row mezzanine is always my favorite place. Since this snow has big company numbers, being too close can take away from the grandeur.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

I saw Row A mezz. Perfect seat. You are on top of the stage, feels like right in front. The actors play a lot to the mezz and they use platforms for some of the numbers.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
If you haven't done so yet, you might search online for discount codes. I googled "something rotten discount codes" and was able to get a seat for Setember--row A in the mezz for like $100. It is right next to a premium seat but ends up being much much cheaper!
The stage is very high. I sat in row C, couldn't see below anyone's knees, so missed all the tap dancing. Granted, I'm short, but not all that short. E might be OK; I would not recommend closer.
I sat second row center when I saw the show. Yes the stage is pretty high, but I'm 5'6" and all I couldn't see was their feet. They were also a tad cheeper (I believe), when the rows behind are more expensive. I loved my seats.
