DEAR GOD NO! Documentary Now is devoid of humor while Another Period is hilarious. DN is the kind of "look how clever we are, aren't we clever?" but I think AP is funny in that it takes taboo topics and puts a hilarious spin on it like when Garfield was ravished by Pussy. I still think Difficult People is my favorite kind of comedy and one of the best I've ever seen.

I didn't hate Documentary Now, but I didn't think it was all that funny. The ending of the first episode was clever, but up till that it really felt like a straight-faced recreation of Grey Gardens.
I've only watched a few episodes of Another Period, but I thought it was hysterical. (And also never would've known that Paget Brewster was Dodo Bellacourt.)
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I know she's done other stuff since Friends, but I don't think I'd seen Paget Brewster in anything since then until she was on Community earlier this year. She nailed it on that, too.
I loved the show. Thought it was a fun take off of Dowton Abbey. Couldn't figure out why Christina H. Was basically playing the same character she played on Mad Men...

I like Difficult People, but I think I'll pass on this and DN then, heh. Thanks!
