This is not surprising, given that it's Texas, but frightening. It was expected he'd appoint a conservative, climate change/ evolution denying, 'Merica is the best place ever, slavery wasn't so bad, type of person. However, is it really too much to ask that the person overseeing one of the largest public school systems in the nation have, I don't know, SOME experience working in public schools??!
And of course, this woman has no actual experience working in education aside from being a school board member. Sounds like the perfect person for the job!
