The last revival of Guys and Dolls was a flop, but previous productions have been hits and I never saw any of them. Does that fit the criteria?

Figures- this board has some of the snarkiest, bitter and unsocial behavior of any I have posted on. I asked about flops epople enjoyed- because I find that I really do enjoy many of the shows with poor word of mouth- and by the same token, I have found that many of the highly touted, commercially successful vehicles leave me cold. Sorry if you found the topic worthy of a sarcastic and parody- and I would venture to guess you are, in general, a very critical, judgmental- and basically unhappy person. Did I hit the nail on the head?

And I would venture that under your veneer of self-serious moralizing and pretension, you are extremely insecure about your own abilities and sensitive to even a hint of criticism, even in jest about a series of *message board posts*, and thus find yourself often finding solace in a fabricated air of victimhood, which deflects the blame off of your own insecurity and self-loathing and onto others. Did I hit the nail on the head?

WOW- this message board is something. I do love Bway and talking about it- and hearing what othr people have to say- but, let me say that it takes some getting used to- lots of critical barbs, sarcasm, catty comments- okay- I can do that as good as the next- I am NYC born and raised- and am not stranger to this type of interplay- Bring it on.

I know you aren't talking to me but this board actually has a rather large reputation for being unkind and snarky. I think it depends on the day. Compared to boards like Internet movie database, this board is a haven.

I can see why- thank you for the response- I guess I just don't operate on a very catty and sarcastic level- unless I have a good reason to. I am sure other sites are worse- though I tend to avoid unnecessary rudeness and negativity when I can. I will continue to post here- and if I find that the level is not for me- I will leave. Again, I appreciate your response.
