I am going to London in June and I am not sure which musical to see. I am choosing between Les Miserables and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Which one do you think would be better to see with a big group and some children?

MATILDA !!!!!
Charlie and Les Mis well are terrible musicals
Can you tell us more about the Group. So we know what musical to choose.
Not Charlie. My then 12 year old thought it was ... ok. But she was bored in Act One - and Act One is very repetitious. They don't get to the factory until Act Two. And if the children have seen the movie - they will be wondering why none of the songs from the movie are in the show (until the very end).
Les Mis - well, it can be (1) a bit of a drag in places and (2) confusing in its plot.
I'd vote for Matilda as well - since it is entertaining for adults and children.
Or take them to Gypsy.
I'd also go to Billy Elliot over Charlie and Les Mis.
(And of course, there are those other shows, Lion King and Wicked - Wicked weekday sales are sometimes easier to get)
But, whatever you do, go see The Play That Goes Wrong.
