NEW WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS concert of new writing at The Battersea Barge, May 10

Following two successful concerts at the Leicester Square Theatre Lounge and the launch of my Broadwayworld Album Awards nominated album WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS last year, I'm excited to announce that a third concert of songs with my lyrics will be presented at the Battersea Barge on Sunday May 10.

The NEW WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS concert will feature mostly brand new material, including many world premiere performances, including songs from new musicals A PEBBLE FOR AARON (with music by Rob Eyles) & SHADOW ON THE SUN (with music by Omri Lahav) and songs I've written very recently with actor/singer/songwriter Alex James Ellison. There will also be some songs from Christopher J. Orton and my musical MY LAND'S SHORE (which Stiles and Drewe described as "soaring, passionate and hauntingly melodic").

I am incredibly fortunate to have an amazing cast lined up for the concert, including
Kieran Brown (who is currently covering and playing the Phantom in “The Phantom Of The Opera” & his previous West End credits include roles in “Wicked” and “Love Never Dies”; in 2013 he was nominated for a BroadwayWorld:UK Award as Best Leading Actor in a Fringe Musical for his performance as Doc in Rodgers And Hammerstein's “Pipe Dream” at the Union Theatre);
Michael Colbourne (the current Enjolras in Les Mis who was also seen recently in the 40th Anniversary concert of A Little Night Music at the Palace Theatre);
Emma Kingston (also in the current Les Mis cast and she played Vanessa in the fantastic production of IN THE HEIGHTS at the Southwark Playhouse in 2014);
Michael Riseley (Montparnasse in Les Mis).

Further casting will be announced during the course of this week.

I can now reveal that the amazingly talented Alex James Ellison will be performing at my NEW WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS concert.

Alex has played principal roles in 3 musicals at Fringe venues in London during the last 12 months - in Whistle Down the Wind at the Union Theatre, Apartment 40C at the London Theatre Workshop and Best Of Friends at the Landor Theatre. He is also a brilliant singer/songwriter and released his own EP "Duvet Days" in 2014 - and I've been lucky enough to have collaborated with him on writing a couple songs during the last few months - both of which we will be premiering during the show on the Battersea Barge, one of them performed by Alex himself.

Also, a duet number I've written with Alex will be performed by actress/singer/model Natalie Amanda Gray (Elegies for Angels, Punks & Raging Queens at the White Bear Theatre and the film "Deadly Waters" which is due for release in June 2015) and Kane Oliver Parry (who will soon be seen in Sweeney Todd at the ENO and who played Robbie the Stockfish in Urinetown at the Apollo Theatre and Llewelyn in The Light Princess at the National).

In the final cast announcement for my NEW WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS concert, I can reveal that Oli Reynolds will be performing. Oli played Kayama in the fantastic production of PACIFIC OVERTURES at the Union Theatre last year and it was one of the best performances I saw anywhere in 2014 - so I'm excited that he will be singing a couple of songs of mine at The Barge.

There are still tickets available for my concert. There will be a limited number of tickets on sale "on the door" but, if anyone is interested in coming along, it's advisable to book in advance online.
