Having done that twice before, I'm pretty sure the nominated shows stick with their regular schedules (though I believe some of the shows sort of did it last year so that the nominated actors could be able to see the other shows).
Edited because yes, sometimes typing on a phone has disastrous results.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Not sure what Dramamama is trying to say in her broken English ("if the perform at the sane time as the Tonys.") but no show will be running the night of the Tonys nor will any show change its schedule.
I think most shows have their June show schedule established if the tickets are on sale. So, if there are tickets for sale I would guess that you are probably safe purchasing them. You do run the risk of a Sunday night show being rescheduled because someone is presenting though, but that won't be announced until much later as they haven't even announced the host unless I completely missed it.
The shows that are nominated will cancel if they put tickets on sale without thinking about it. Shows like Chicago and The Lion King should be playing that night though.
