In anticipation of this show heading to Broadway next season, did anyone see American Psycho when it ran in London? I know it sold out and the notices were generally positive.
I saw it. Really quire enjoyable. Completely sold out. i remember that I had a ticket but couldn't go as I (unbelievably) had a double booking so sold my ticket to a friend then went to the theatre straight after work and had to queue for a couple of hours but finally got in and saw it.
I saw it it and really enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan if the book and I've always considered the movie just okay, but I really liked how it was presented. It had just the right amount of slickness to it. I found it to be very different then anything I'd see on that visit to London.
I didn't actually see it with my eyeballs but even through a crummy audience audio recording it was totally excellent, and I'm really excited for a proper cast soundtrack. They struck a great balance between the horror-comedy, the social satire, and the philosophical revelations, and the book is real sharp, too, not too broad. Different enough from both the novel and the film, too, while still nailing the audience favorites.
I kickstarted this back in the day, so I did get my Patrick Bateman USB business card, which contained 3 song demos, but I've not heard anything since then... looking forward to it, though. Love the book/movie.
I am so looking forward to seeing this on Broadway! I love the book and the movie so much, it's almost one of my tells as to whether I'm going to get along with someone or not haha.
Reading the feedback from those who saw it in London makes me that much more excited for it to start here.
