I did the past two Mondays in tried to get rush tickets. The first Monday, I honestly didn't try very hard and got to the box office at 940 just wanted to scout the situation out. Join the line and almost got tickets they sold out three people in front of me. However, it was a short week there were only a few shows. Went back again this past Monday got there at 830 was about 30th in line and got tickets with no problem for the Monday night show. Got a really nice surprise when came back to pick up my ticket, because I was assigned riverbanks seating and was literally right in front of the stage that was a great surprise. Highly recommend the show, it was awesome!
I got a pair of $35 rush tickets this past Monday (I arrived at 9am) for Saturday's matinee. I figured the seats would be less than ideal, but we were in front row "riverbank" seats! I don't know if all the $35 rush tickets are riverbank seats - probably not - but we got lucky.
My seats were also AA226 and AA228. I paid with credit card and the seat numbers were on the credit card receipt so I knew what seats I had before I picked them up.
I did the daily rush last Saturday and was about 25th in line (I got there at 9:15) I was one of the last people to get seats. They started to offer standing room a person or two after me. I would estimate by 10:00 there were around 50 people.
Definitely. I ended up getting there at 9:15, which was later than I'd planned. Had no problem getting one for a Sat matinee. You might want to have one back-up day in mind just in case.

Just an FYI for anyone: you may get lucky if you just stop by at some point to see if there are any seats left for the weeks performances if you have the option to be open. Yesterday, I went to the box office at around 5 PM to inquire if the Sunday Matinee was sold out and I was pleasantly surprised to find out there were $35 Access seats still available. Another FYI I bought standing room for Saturday night for $30 with no issue around 1pm.
All of us were moved to seats. Because no latecomers are admitted, there were quite a few seats empty. I noticed a bunch on StubHub too, very reduced in price as well.
I was by myself and moved to third row while the rest were scattered throughout the theater.
I say: if you see a great many tickets on Stubhub, buy standing room and it's a good chance you will get a seat.
Has anyone done daily rush recently? Thinking about trying this Sunday when it's a noon BO opening. Would getting there 11am be okay or do you think I should aim for earlier?
Overall, I must say I'm surprised this rush isn't a camp-out situation or even needing to get there at 6am.
I did a Saturday rush the weekend before Christmas. I got to the box office around 10:15am and was able to get two tickets for the evening performance with no problem. At the performance, we were able to move down a row.
