Interesting. I remember when I was very, very young, my babysitter (?) took us to a movie that had the original version as a trailer that freaked me out.

Now there's a remake and it marks the comeback of the long lost--and much missed--Orion Pictures.

I saw the original late one night on HBO. A good low-budget thriller, based on a true story.
