A few posts back someone wondered why the logo looked like a house, when "Fun Home" is about a funeral home. While it is true that many funeral homes look like houses, in this case, the funeral home is also the Bechdel family home. (Like the TV show Six Feet Under)

For those on Spotify, I noticed it was recently added.
I haven't listened to it all yet, but I did see it at the Public. Though a fine show, I'm sure the cast, crew and producers are praying Hamilton doesn't transfer. I think the show really needs to Tony to have legs.

There is definite conjecture going on that Bruce killed himself. I gave the book away but if someone can answer for me I'd appreciate it. He backed into the truck? Right? That seems odd. Also, we know Bruce is being divorced and the new house is a fistful, the song at the end that sounds like a letter, I don't remember that from the book. After reading the book, I thought it was more likely Bruce didn't kill himself.

It is inconclusive. No proof either way. Alison BELIEVES that he killed himself. Since this is her story, she tells it this way.
I believe the word of the truck driver is that he jumped back on the road, as if maybe scared by a snake.
New house? The only house I'm aware they ever talk about (beside the Funeral Home) is the same one that he has been fixing up forever.

At the very end of Fun Home, Bruce has taken on another house to restore. That's what he sings about in his final song.
Also, congrats to Fun Home book writer and lyricist Lisa Kron on being awarded a Signature Theatre five-year residency!

You mean about the "new" house Bruce is restoring? I can't remember if it's in the book or not, but it's definitely in the musical. The parallel is that his life is coming apart at the seams, just like the broken-down house. Both seem beyond repair at that point.

Just bought my tickets for April. :) So excited to see LEGEND JUDY KUHN on stage for the first time ever.
Can't believe I'm going to get to see my favorite Broadway divas -- Judy Kuhn and Kelli O'Hara -- within a month of each other. I love Broadway!!

Short video clip is now up with Sam Gold explaining the new in the round staging.
Near the end he reveals some information that is a slight spoiler for one aspect of the production's staging. Since we don't actually get to see it, it didn't bother me, but if you want to go in completely unaware I'd stop it around the 4 minute mark or so.
