Did anyone else see I Origins this weekend? I wanted to like it more than I did, but I still found plenty to recommend. The first half of the movie was slow and I didn't care for the central romantic relationship. I was surprised by the big turn of events in the middle and I enjoyed the new direction the film took trying to solve the reincarnation mystery.

Michael Pitt (not eating his face off) was the only actor with a fully-written character, and he gave a good performance, but Brit Marling was disappointingly shoved to the side. I did let out a little gasp was ARCHIE PANJABI came on the screen, but she was given nothing to do! No Kelinda ass kickings here sadly.

Another Earth was better, and even that one they did about the environmental terrorists, but I think Cahill and Marling always come up with an interesting idea for a film.

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
