I'm old friends with PalJoey, and I've had the pleasure of socializing with the lovely NYadgal and SonofRobbieJ several times. Givesmevoice is a close chum. I had a wonderful afternoon with FindingNamo at "The Normal Heart." I've never met Phyllis Rogers Stone, but I truly consider him one of my closest friends, thanks to e-mail and the inevitable Facebook, where I'm also good friends with Stockardfan, Jane2, JoeKv, papalovesmambo, and several other wonderful BWWers.
Starting with my most recent-Mister Matt, Diva, D2, Supportivemom, Elphaba, uncageg, Boobs, Miss Pennywise, Dottie D'Lucia, Bdwaygirl, nyadgal, Wexy, n2n, Pal Joey, Best12bars, pappalovesmabo, stage manager, skittles, Bluemooon, Iflit, Sonofrob, and probably more that I can't think of right now.
The only frequent poster I believe I know in the outside world is themysteriousgrow (who I just saw a lot of last week!). There are less prominent posters I know very well. But I didn't come to know any of them from here, it was just coincidental they happened to be members.
I think I've (knowingly) met a total of four or five members.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I don't want to besmirch anybody's good name by telling others they've spent time with me, but I will confirm The Normal Heart with Reg. What an experience.
One time I had a naughty dream featuring me and a crowd of guys. JOSE was there. The first thing I thought when I woke up was, "Hey! That was Jose!".
I've met quite a few people here. I "think" I've met Jane but that's just because of some of the stories she tells and it sounds like someone I know in the neighborhood. I could be wrong, though. :)
I dislike getting in the middle of others' disputes, but I have to say that the details of the so-called friend Liza's has described don't coincide with the Namo I know.
I'm also PM friends with ghostlight; we've exchanged lots of personal details, but we've not met in real life.
I have determined indubitably, conclusively and irrevocably that the posters known as "FindingNamo" and "Liza's Headband" (1) have never met, (2) do not know each other and (3) are NOT on each other's Facebook pages.
Any continued insistence that they have shall henceforth be considered "dumbassery."
Moreover, an apology is owed to the real-life "CC," who has never posted on BroadwayWorld--and never shall, I imagine.
PJ, I know! I feel sorry for CC, given the threats to his employment. I hope he never learns of it. I'm not sure BWW couldn't face some sort of legal action.
