I hope they stunt cast Berthe. I'd love to see a cool old celebrity diva tour...
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Lgading Player, according to extremely reliable sources is NOT Gabrielle McClinton, but is someone with a great set of pipes that I expect people posting in this thread to be familiar with,
Whether it be on tour or as a future replacement in the Broadway company, I can't think of a more ideal Leading Player for this production than Adrienne Warren.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
^In addition, "Allen, a finalist on the fourth season on NBC’s The Voice, and Selig (The Book of Mormon tour) will be joined by Tony winner John Rubinstein as Charles, Broadway alum Sabrina Harper as Fastrada and Kristine Reese (Wicked tour) as Catherine.
The company also includes Skyler Adams, Sascha Bachman, Bradley Benjamin, Dmitrious Bistrevsky, Mark Burrell, Mathew deGuzman, Fernando Dudka, Mirela Golinska, Kelsey Jamieson, Preston Jamieson, Lisa Karlin, Alan Kelly, Melodie Lamoreux, Tory Trowbridge, Mackenzie Warren and Borris York."
so Happy for Sabrina I saw her as Fastrada last month and she was AMAZING, and its kind of funny to see Kristine Reese play Catherine because her husband Billy Tighe is currently in Pippin on Broadway! hahahahaha
What a great pair for the tour. Allen's going to be amazing as the LP. Looks like most of the Broadway acrobats will be moving onto the tour. Congrats to all! Also happy for Sabrina Harper as Fastrada!

I'm so hoping this plays in Philly. Wish they would announce more dates.

I think this is very solid casting. Sasha has a lovely voice and is extremely dedicated to her work--I think she'll put her all into this role and do well. Very happy for Sabrina Harper--second time I saw the show, she was on as Fastrada and I really liked what she did. She wasn't a carbon copy of Charlotte and I liked that.
Berthe's casting wasn't announced, correct? I wouldn't be surprised if they're still trying to pull in an older celebrity/former celebrity for this. I'm okay with stunt casting that part. It works.
