I don't understand why there are no plans to bring Cinderella over to the UK. I have seen the show twice in NYC and its a great show that would do fantastically in the UK. It is great for all ages. Thoughts anyone?

Don't think it's as well known over here compared to the US, I think it would need a big theatre like The Palladium or Drury Lane but I would like to see it.

the musical isn't anywhere near as well known or loved here like it is in the states where its part of their culture thanks to tv specials of it over the years.

Plus for the family market its not the disney version kids know and here we have panto too so parents can take their kids for a fraction of the price to see the same story locally.

I think the appeal would be limited to hardcore theatre fans

A limited run at the Palladium or Drury Lane could possibly work but even then i have my doubts

Also the West End doesn't have the big musical houses like Broadway, so for any keen producer it's hard to land a decent theatre. With the population of London predicted to increase by 1/5 by 2030 to 10 million, we could do with a couple of new theatres the has a capacity in the region of 1500 - 1800, wouldn't I give my eyeteeth for a few million to build these. I would give you a couple of magnificent theatres with a couple of excellent musicals.
