Just curious what shows people think will tour in the 2014/2015 season? It's difficult for me to get to NYC but maybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky so hoping that some of my favorite new shows will tour next year. I'm crossing my fingers for Matilda, Newsies, Motown, Kinky Boots, and Pippin. What else do you all think will tour for the 2014/2015 season? Anyone heard of any revivals on tour? Or shows that have ended in the last several years?

Motown will launch it's tour in Chicago in April and Pippin will launch it's tour in September in San Francisco. Kinky Boots will launch in Las Vegas September 2014, and a tour of Matilda is still yet undecided

Cinderella, Pippin and Kinky Boots have announced tours. Kinky Boots' starts September 2014 in Vegas. Pippin starts in September 2014 in Denver. Chaplin is going to be a non-equity tour produced by Worklight. Bring It On is becoming a non-equity tour.

Matilda hasn't officially announced a tour, but I do believe it's in-the-works. I haven't heard anything about Newsies touring, but I'm sure it will eventually. Disney usually waits a while for there things to tour.

Don't you mean Disney waits awhile for THEIR things to tour?

Cinderella will probably kick off at the Ahmanson in LA, as Center Theatre Group is a co producer. Disney usually waits about 3 years with their shows, So I hope it's very soon. I imagine they'll either kick off in Denver or Chicago.

Actually it would be ITS. Disney is singular.

Actually, since Disney is a major company with many moving parts, it wouldn't be wrong to say their at all. It's not referring to the company itself but rather the major players involved in getting such a tour off the ground.

Okay, originally, I honestly didn't care, because I don't want to go off topic from this thread (and I know I've had incorrect usage in the past). It doesn't matter how many moving parts there are. "Disney" is one company. It is considered a collective noun; it is singular.

I wonder which city Newsies will launch its national tour? I'm sure it will fairly easy to tour since the set they use on Broadway was designed to be tourable so they wouldn't to make many changes to the current production.
