And it is not just because of the outrageous Bette snub. I hated Matilda and found Kinky to be ehh. The plays were all forgettable and reading the nominations this morning made me not give a ****. I have lots of hate in me today. It is not going to be pretty. Having a bad queen day.
I, along with most of America and Europe, never watch the TONY'S but after Dame's "meltdown" - I'm going to make sure they get my rating point that night...

Looks to me like Dame is seeking attention as always. It's a real shame there are so many negative Marys on this board. I just purchased my tickets to see this years Tony's Live at Radio City and am looking very much forward to it.
Wouldn't you have made that decision long ago? It was pretty obvious that both Kinky Boots and Matilda were going to be the frontrunners. Were you holding out for Scandalous to sweep?
OK, you'll be sorely missed. I'll leave an empty chair...
Oh, were you saving that seat?

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
The outrageous Bette snub? The woman sits on a couch for 90 minutes!! The five nominees for Best Actress in a Play are much more deserving, in my opinion. I'm mostly happy with the nominations overall.
I will say this.. I am very pleased that Keala Settle is nominated. She has been treading the boards both on Broadway and on tours for a few years now. She is a very hardworking , good person. I am also glad Terrence Mann got a nomination purely for my own sentimental reasons. Ok.. so I will tivo it and watch some at some point.
To borrow a phrase from Tony winner Kristen Chenoweth in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN....
Why are you telling me?
I mean do you expect all of us to boycott watching the Tony Awards because you didn't care for the nominees??
Or is just this more of your pathetic, idiotic, attention grabbing grandstanding?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks." Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
Pretty much across the US, CBS has chosen to use a lower signal frequency for their OTA TV transmission. Since I dumped cable, I'm no longer able to get CBS via antenna, and that's pretty common with many antenna users no matter where they live.
They've also made the choice not to include programs like the Tonys in their online content.
>Meh<... I'm not happy about missing the Tonys for the first time this year, but I'll live. The only reason I watch is to see the snippets of performances from shows. I can get the winners' results anywhere else online, in real time.
Since the "powers that be" have decided to substantially cut back on showing performances (especially, completely eliminating scenes from plays), I'm not all that disappointed.
DAME...can I invite you over for my small Tony party? Love to give you a seat right next to the television so you can turn to the side to see it or not. I know I'd appreciate your remarks. Let me know what you're drinking and it will be ready... Vodka Stinger?
The TONY Producer's have announced they have taken DAME's thoughts into consideration and they will add an extended medley from 'Whoop-Up" to make up for their nomination blunders..
Also, and this is a secret, the host this year is...............
Eleanora Duse!
