I've just read that David Mamets play is opening in Munich this evening. It'll be performed by the Bavarian State Theatre and will be playing in repertoire. I'll update and translate the critics when they come out.
Strange. They are stating that the plays running time is 1 hour 40 minutes....
So, the story is that 20 minutes into the play, the actress playing 'Cathy' Cornelia Froebess, seems lost and confused, starts improvising, forgets her lines then asks if she may go to the bathroom. After a few minutes she returns, then asks to be taken back to her cell. The curtains closes. End of performance.
According to the newspapers, the 69 year old actress suffered from a circulatory collapse. The premiere will now take place at a later date. Article from the "Sueddeutsche Zeitung"
