Our choice is Scandalous? That's not a choice. And from what is being said, only Carolee's performance is worth seeing, the rest is suppose to be pretty awful.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
The kid I have working for me, who tends to love everything she sees (she finds the best part of every show she sees), came to work yesterday, after seeing Scandalous and said without hesitation: "It SUCKED!". I would suggest you steer clear!
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!
The best musicals on Broadway are Book of Mormon, Wicked and Nice Work if you Can Get it. The Mystery of Edwin Drood isn't my favorite musical (in fact I'm not fond of it a at all) however this is a great production of it with a stellar cast. I actually enjoyed Scandalous and it is definitely worth seeing Carolee Carmello's tour de force performance. It seems quite "In" on here to bad mouth it. Because it was so badmouthed on here, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed Scandalous. the musicals I would stay away from are Chaplin, Bring it On, Phantom of the Opera. All colossal bores.
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".

I actually really liked Bring It On, more than Nice Work and Scandalous. Chaplin is actually not too bad, especially compared to some of the other musicals open right now.
For a non-musical suggestion, Peter and the Starcatcher.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
Phantom, wicked, and Book of Mormon are my favorites right now. I enjoyed Bring it On as well. Scandalous sucked, don't waste your time/money. Newsies is fun, but not the best. I hated once. Nice work was entertaining, but I wouldn't go back. Lion King is nice if you just want to relax and watch something fun and heartwarming.
Theatre is my life. No one can take that away from me.
I am thinking of seeing http://www.cinderellaonbroadway.com/ because I love Laura. I am hoping to see Matilda again and Kinky Boots. I love to see BOM if it is still good Josh Gad has left. Virgina Woolf, Golden Boy, Cat and Glen Ross, Benjamin deserved a tony nom in BBAJ . I am not sure about Lucky Boy??? Water by the Spoonful if it is still running. And Maybe something at the Public
